Rough River Youth Ranch (RRYR) is a Christian work to help teenage youth. Our hope is that by creating Godly structure in the lives of young men, they might go on to serve Christ and succeed in life. We hope to father these boys that are in much need of guidance and direction. The Rough River Youth Ranch features an equestrian program that is used to teach the young men discipline and responsibility.

Located in the scenic rolling hill country of Breckenridge County, KY, near Rough River State Park, Rough River Youth Ranch provides a quiet, peaceful setting for a ministry to troubled and displaced youth. The first of four family-style ranch homes is complete and is able to house 10 boys ranging in age from 10-15.

Our facilities also include a 12-stall horse barn, an office, and indoor training/riding arena.

We also provide boarding for  horses.

Residents will be taught the necessity and importance of being a part of a family as they help with daily chores in the ranch house, garden, and barn. They will learn to help in the kitchen, clean, do their own laundry, lawn and garden work, and care for the ranch animals. As they work, our boys will benefit from learning the satisfaction of accomplishment and pride in a job well done.

Leisure time activities can include hiking, fishing, camping or horseback riding with our staff on the six-mile hiking/ equestrian trail beginning near our ranch house.

Staff and residents will attend Bethel Fellowship Church on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings. During the school year, RRYR students will attend Bethel Christian Academy. Bethel uses the ACE curriculum which is an individualized study tailored to the students learning level.

Rough River Youth Ranch is staffed by persons of fine Christian character and integrity and who have vast experience and training in ministry to today's youth.
